A Month of Blessings

October has been a month of blessings for Amy's House. As a more normal community life is beginning to resume, we were able to do a couple of presentations about organ and tissue donation.
Margaret Henderson spoke to the Lambda Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma in Copperas Cove. The members presented a generous donation to Amy's House. TRIO will probably use this to purchase HEB gift cards to give to needy families who stay at Amy's House so they can buy food.

Our next blessing was a gift of a gas grill from the Temple-Belton Ladies Lions Club. The grill will allow families another option for cooking and relaxing at Amy's House. Hopefully, we will find someone who can get a gas line installed soon, and we can get to grillin'!

On October 30, Amy's House hosted a tour for the Nu Rho Chapter of Beta Signa Phi. The members of the group gifted Amy's House with a generous donation that will help sponsor stays for families who are struggling financially during the transplant process.
