Chapter Officers

President: John Henderson
John Henderson hails from the Texas panhandle, but moved to the area in 1970 to take a job teaching English at Central Texas College. He earned a PhD in English Education at the University of Texas in Austin and has served in several positions of leadership, most notably, as the Chair of the Communications Department at CTC and as the president of the Copperas Cove ISD board. He is a donor family member.

Vice President: Tina Amlin
Tina Amlin is a long time local who graduated from Temple High, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications at Baylor University, and found her passion in EMS. Tina has served the community as a Paramedic and other health care related fields for over 30 years and is now an Associate Professor at Temple Colleges EMS program sharing her knowledge and passion for helping others. She is a Cub Scout Master, leading Pack 101 and mentoring young minds.

Secretary: Linda Domelsmith
Linda Domelsmith earned her BA in Chemistry from UT Austin and her PhD in physical organic chemistry from Duke University. She served as Lead Scientist on projects at the USDA’s Southern Regional Research Center in New Orleans and as the Director of Research Programs for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Linda is the recipient of two donor corneas implanted by Dr. Samuel Fulcher at Temple’s Scott & White Clinic. She continues to enjoy the gift of sight and is thankful for the opportunity to work with TRIO and the Amy’s House Foundation.

Treasurer: Margaret Henderson
Margaret Henderson received her BA from West Texas A & M. She taught English in public schools, but found her true calling as a school librarian. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas in Austin. She has served in leadership capacities in several organizations including the American Association of University Women and the Copperas Cove Retired Teachers Association. She is a donor family member.

Executive Director of Amy's House
Phyllis Renfrow began working as our Executive Director in October 2022. Her experience includes work as an intervention specialist with MHMR, human resources director, and a director of operations at Baylor Scott & White. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling. Phyllis brings passion to her job because she is a donor family member.
